Amazon 2024 New Fee Introduction

Changes to Amazon FBA Shipping: More Control, Potential Cost Impact

Attention Amazon sellers! Big news on the inbound shipping front!  Starting March 1st, 2024, a new fee structure will be implemented for Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service. Here’s what you need to know:

Shipping to One Fulfillment Center? It’s Now the Default

Previously, Amazon would automatically distribute your products across multiple fulfillment centers for faster delivery to customers.  Under the new system, the default setting will be to ship your inventory to a single location.  This could potentially streamline your inventory management.

The Choice is Yours: Maintain Multi-Center Shipping

Don’t worry, you’re not locked into the single-center option!  You can still choose to ship your products to multiple fulfillment centers, just like before. However, there’s a catch…

Opting for Multiple Centers? Fees May Apply

While previously there was no charge for dispersing inventory across multiple centers, under the new structure, you may incur a fee (or a discounted fee)  for choosing this option.  The exact cost structure hasn’t been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.

What Does This Mean for You?

This change offers greater control over your inventory management.  However, carefully consider the potential cost implications before deciding whether to stick with multi-center shipping or take advantage of the new single-center default option.
